Our Academy respects and protects your privacy. We take the privacy of all our students and website users seriously and take great care to protect your personal information.

The following Personal Data Privacy Policy (‘the Privacy Policy’’) applies to personal data and information of our students and other individual users of our website and has been adopted as part of our commitment to protect any personal information we receive.

Our Privacy Policy explains how we process and store the personal data we collect from you or that you provide to us. This Privacy Policy further explains your privacy rights and the way you can exercise them. Please read the Privacy Policy carefully to understand how your personal information will be treated. Βy providing your data to us you acknowledge that you have read and agreed with this Privacy Policy.

What Information Do We Collect?

We collect and process personal data about you. Personal data includes your first  name, your last name, your age, date of birth, home address, email address, telephone number, country of residence, personal identification information, (ID document number, Passport number) credit and debit card details, the demo of your work -when this is required by us-, and any other information you provide to us by email, letter, telephone, social media or via our website.

By visiting our website, we may automatically collect the following information:

  • technical information, including IP address, geographical location of IP, login information, browser type & version
  • information about your visit (pages visited, amount of time spent in each page, visit sequence)
  • cookies and other technologies

Will We Take Photos And/or Videos of You?

We may take photographs and videos for training and promotional purposes. If you do not want yourself or your children to appear in these, you must inform us by email in advance.

If you do not inform us so, it means that you acknowledge that photographs, video and audio recordings are part of the Academy’s work and that you grant your consent to be part of these materials.

What Is the Legal Basis for the Use of Personal Data and How Do We Use Them?

We collect and use personal data in order to meet legal requirements and legitimate interests set out in the GDPR and Greek law. In accordance with the above, personal data of the students and stakeholders are collected and used to fulfil a contract (verifying your identity, taking payments, communicating with you) and to ensure the safety of our students.

If you are under 18, please ensure that you obtain your parent’s/ legal guardian’s consent beforehand whenever you provide personal data to us. Without such consent you are not allowed to provide us with any personal information.

Further, upon your consent we place cookies in accordance with our cookie policy (see in detail our Cookie policy) and we keep you updated about any future summer courses by email, telephone, or SMS text message.

Your data will be stored at the offices of our Academy. Our staff will be entitled to process your application, process your payment details and provide you with support services. By submitting your personal data to our Academy, you agree to the transfer, storing and processing of such information. We will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure your data is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

Who Will We Share This Personal Data With?

We will share your personal data within the Academy’s Group only for operational reasons.

Personal data may be shared with government authorities and/or law enforcement officials if mandated by law or if required for the legal protection of our legitimate interests in compliance with applicable international, European and Greek laws.

Personal data will also be shared with third party service providers, who will process it on behalf of the Academy. We use third-party providers of website hosting, website maintenance and third-party providers of accommodation services. Further, in order to process a transaction, your personal information and card details may be passed to third party service providers.

Our company protects the processing of your personal data by our third-party partners through contractual clauses which limit the use of your personal data to organizational reasons aiming at providing you the service you have requested.

We will not share any personal data with any other third parties without your previous consent.

How Long is Your Data Stored For?

In accordance with the GDPR, the Academy does not store personal data indefinitely. We will retain your information for as long as is necessary to provide you with the services you have requested unless we must keep it to comply with applicable laws or to protect our legitimate business interests such us fraud prevention.

What Are Your Rights Regarding Your Personal Data?
You have the right to request access of your personal data, request a copy of your personal data, request the correction of the inaccuracies of your personal data, request erasure of your personal data, object to the processing of your personal data or the right to transmit those data, request restriction of processing of your personal data and to request the transfer of your personal data to you or to a third party. You can also withdraw your consent at any time where we are relying on consent to process your personal data.

MJS is an educational platform and network of professional jazz musicians. Aspires to become the link of international jazz artists, an associate of educational institutes and contribute into the debate for jazz and improvisation.
